Multi-use Evidence

When submitting evidence to answer a certain question. Is it okay to then use it in multiple locations on the application to contribute or can you refer to it in other questions or do you just have to pick which it applies to most and then use different evidence.

For example: Multiple letters of support state that they know of our plans to move back to Canada, so we would like to use this as 1. Proof of moving back to Canada, 2. Letters of support from family and close friends.

I have the same issue. I have a document from the bank that states that we are both joint owners of the account, the amount of money in the account and our joint address.
This document can be used as: a) proof of joint bank account b) proof of sufficient funds to support the applicant and b) proof of same address.

I'm hopping they take into account all information in the document and not only the information relevant for the section you decide to put the document in.

For a spousal application, you don't need to prove (b) unless a complicated scenario of dependents of dependents exists.

You could submit the same statement for proof of same address, but "proof of joint bank account" is necessary for either demonstrating a genuine relationship through interdependence OR address, but not much else, unless I'm wrong.

In any event, you can either include it twice or in a letter of explanation, say "See the bank statements for proof of shared address"

We are applying under Family Class as common-law.

As for (b) we have no dependents but Checklist states "If you are not working in Canada, provide other documentation showing you can support the person(s) you are sponsoring" Under Supporting documents for sponsor section 5.

They ask for documents such as joint bank account as proof of current cohabitation. They also ask for other documents showing the same address, which the bank statement also provides. Which is fine by me, I have enough documents that I don't need to reuse them.
But, as I said before, I hope they take in consideration all the information in the document. Almost all official/government issued documents I'm sending mention our address, that means almost all documents I'm sending could be seen as proof of cohabitation.

They consider everything. Thankfully they're not that robotic. Are you working elsewhere in the world, or are you in Canada and not working? You are correct in that if you are not currently working in Canada, you must provide other proof of financial ability, which can include savings, employment, family, etc.

My partner(sponsor) is Canadian and we are both living in Europe, she has double nationality. We both just finished university here and she want to move back to Canada and take me with. We have been living together for 3+ years. We are not working yet as she wants to start her professional life in Canada. We do have a considerable amount of savings to support us while we search for a job and settle in Canada.
We are now working on proving her intention of moving back to Canada.

Good, the bank account will help you then.

Given that she hasn’t been in Canada for a long time it will be tough to prove that you will be moving without securing jobs and a place to live. You don’t have jobs you are leaving and are in school. I would suggest she moves to Canada during the sponsorship process. If you’re a citizen of a visa free country you could visit while she moves until you are granted PR. You could send an update to CIC indicating you’re new address. The other option is you both come to Canada and file inland.

She has family both here and in Canada. She has nothing keeping her here, besides me. She came to study and now she's done, so she wants to go back. Only thing she has here is a car that she will sell.
Securing a job or place to live is almost impossible if you don't know when you are going.
It would not be ideal for her to go to Canada as we don't know how long the process will be and we don't want to live an ocean apart. As for us going both, I would not be able to work because I would only have a visitor visa, and we don't want to spend all our savings during the waiting process.
We have family expecting us and that will help while we settle. We will try to provide as much proof as possible and hope for the best.

When was the last time she lived in Canada? Unfortunately many couples didn’t move to Canada permanently so the proof required is much more extensive. Would still suggest moving partway through the processing so if you are questioned you are already in Canada.

She finished high school in Canada and moved here. I understand the need for proof, it makes no sense to give PRs if there's no intention of moving. We are young, no kids, ready do start our adult life, we want to build a family in Canada. We will try to do it outland with what we have. If it comes to it, we will explore other options.
But thank you for the advice, we hadn't really thought about how difficult it seems to prove intent to return.
