Nobody knows. last people to receive AOR were January applicants.Hi guys.
Is it gonna be 6 months wait for AOR for July applicants?
Thank you
Anton
I try to be positive. I just did simple math. Normal AOR time 2-3 month. Now they are 6 months behindNobody knows. last people to receive AOR were January applicants.
The last AOR that was reported was received March 15, and that was for a January applicant, and there are still some January applicants that have not received it. In other words, it would seem nobody has gotten an AOR since March 15, hence nobody knows how long July applicants will have to wait.I try to be positive. I just did simple math. As you stated yourself, you didn't have a legal status between oct 2016 and feb 2017. In my opinion when filling your physical presence calculator just answer NO to the question concerning a temporary resident for that period. You may add an explanation letter with your application if you want. Just make sure you don't claim days as temporary resident during the period that you may lost days later and may impact your total physical days. Better you claim days you are 100% sure you had a status in Canada, temporary or permanent and you were present in Canada.Hi Guys , I have a question if anyone can help or direct me . I am trying to apply for Citizenship . I became PR in May 2017 . Now this is the situation , I came as a student back in 2012 and then studied for 2 years and got Work permit for 3 years until July 2016 , i applied for work permit extension but was declined extension in Oct 2016 . So , my Work permit / temporary resident status ended on Oct 2016. Now , when i was in 90 day restoration period , i was fortunate and i got invitation to apply and i filed my application for PR in Jan 2017 . Based on the application , i tried to restore my status on Work Permit , but sadly was declined again in Feb 2017 . And was told that i have no legal status in Canada and my status as temporary resident expired on Oct 2016 . And i have to leave Canada asap . So i left Canada in Feb 2017 and after leaving Canada i went back home , during that time my file was under process and was waiting for the final decision which wahinalized in April 2017 and was granted PR . So since now , I am trying to apply for Citizenship , the physical calculator for Citizenship has a section which is asking me if i was temporary resident status i.e ( Student, worker or temporary resident permit holder ) which i submitted yes . But now , when i am filing that section , it asks me to select the type in that but now i am confused as my period from Oct 2016 to Feb 2017 i was on restoration period , Question : Do i have to mention that period in my Citizenship file ? , if yes . what is the correct type to be selected in that selection type as i am not sure if there is a solution anyone can tell me .
The Physical Presence Calculator instructions say this: "Please only list the periods of time you had authorized temporary resident or protected person status in Canada and the type of status you had between yyyy-mm-dd and yyyy-mm-dd and select Add Entry". Thank you for your guidance , really appreciate it . Just to rephrase i don't have to declare that ( Oct 2016 to Feb 2017) period under as it had no legal status and under restrorative period of 90 days period , but i can claim the period from "May 2015 until Oct 2016" , as i had Post Grad Work Permit .
