Hello guys, I have a question and I would love an honest opinion without judgement
Last year I was in the US with a job visa and I was planing stay in Canada for 3 months to improve my french before go back home... In January I've met online a guy (which is my boyfriend now) and since I was going to Canada I decided to visit him too, and I arrived in Canada in late February. As soon as I arrived the borders were closed and I am (still) stucked in Canada, but it's not a big problem because I have funds and I'm using this time to improve my french just like I've planed.
The point is that my boyfriend invited me to live in his house with him because of the lockdown, and we decided to stay together this time and the relationship is getting better and better and we became in a serious relationship. I can stay in Canada until next year (extending my ETA) if I want to, but we are considering get along together via sponsorship, I have the knowledge that I still can't apply via common law, but we are considering get married in September.
Since it's not a long date relationship it will be a problem for the process? we have many ways to proof the authenticity (Family photos, Friends letters, financial relationship, tons of messages, Gifts, etc). To be honest, I could wait until February to start the process via Common Law but to validate the Marriage in my home country Embassy, it's not possible via common law, only via marriage... that's the main reason that we are considering get married in September.
do you guys see a problem? should I wait more time than 9 months?
thank you.
