Their main concern is border closure . And visa offices are closed in the most immigrants countries . Many of my friends got ITA prior to it , but they could not submit documents on time , and some have got rejections . IRCC doesn’t want to crate a backlog , and FSW draws won’t happen untill Canada opens its borders . Actually , the Canadian administration is a bit ‘ risk averse ‘

I think it depends:
- If there's no or mild 2nd wave, beginning of 2021 can be hoped.
- If there's second wave, not necessarily in Canada but in the world, then maybe 2022
In the mean time, CIC will be farming inland people or PR-lized all the people already in Canada. Can we find any way to go to Canada now?

Am sorry to say... but did I not read somewhere that Canada will process as many student visas as possible? Are international students not coming into Canada this year? If they are then all this border closure of an excuse shouldn’t apply..
Yes international students and those with LMIA and also global talent stream. Though seeing the way scores will likely shoot up once FSWs come into the picture then it’s best to come to Canada as an international student after you completed at least a degree.
I believe Canada has come up with a flexible policy that degrees with only 50% on campus attendance will be considered for PGWP because of the pandemic. So international students enrolling in 2 or 4 year programs can start their programs online and still be eligible for PGWP when they come later.
I've been thinking about this. I think he next 'checkpoint' people should really look at is August/September before Fall semester starts.
Yh , by stating umployment as a reason , they dnt want to give a negative message to the global talent , like there are no jobs . They want to attract them , but couldn’t do anything now as of border closures and uncertainty about that .They are pretty much unsure about this fact , they I’ll definitely invite people once they get the indication that borders can be opened . Wait till 21st July
That’s not a sensible assumption!! If they have decided to stop taking in FSW candidates all together until 2021 or so, then you can very well expect IRCC or the Canadian govt to come out with public statements on this ...
It’s a responsible democracy and thus, shall not encourage Prospective applicants to apply especially if they plan to shut it down for the moment..

Your making sense... but it’s annoying what they are doing... they keep saying they are still processing applications but they left us hanging for months... no word!!
But , we I’ll lose age points , this is the main concern for most .it has been compensating cec, but when it comes to FSW , the immigration minister wants the score as high as 470 . They should compensate FSWs
