Hello All,
I moved to Canada to study in 2018 while my parents are all PRs of Canada. I had study permit and work permit that was issued in November 2017 and valid through December 2019. I finished college in 2019 and worked part time until then and stopped working. I received full time offer letter and applied for my PGWP in August 2019. After applying for my PGWP I got another offer for 4 month contract position with full time hours. I worked from September 2019 -December 2019. I received my PGWP in December 2019 and got hired internally for a “Full time” position. I want to know if my work hours towards PR eligibility is counted from at the time I submitted (In August 2019 end) my PGWP application or after I received (in December first week) ? If it counts from the time I submitted my PGWP application that is in August 2019 while my Initial work permit was also valid, will my hours be counted ? If so I should be eligible to apply for PR very soon this year.
Somebody please advise.
