Missed oath ceremony ; Need to travel.

Hello,
I missed my oath in Jan 2020 due to unavoidable reasons.
The IRCC agent in Jan told me I would be automatically rescheduled .
Now due to the virus, nothing so far.
I need to travel for a month urgently to my home country .
They are operating special flights.
But Should I travel?
Who knows when I will get the date ? Due to the backlog.
If I travel, will I be able to get back in time if I get the date?

Did you inform IRCC beforehand? or you just had no-show at oath and they reached to you?

I was a no show. I gave them the reason later on the webform , but they wanted proof which I could not provide.
Then I called IRCC and the agent told me even if they don't accept your reason you would still be rescheduled
for the oath ( final notice).
And my ecas still shows DECISION MADE.

wow you are brave to have no show, so at that point you already had in mind that to give up citizenship?

Everybody circumstances different, I went through a same situation that I could not attend my oath ceremony neither notify IRCC beforehand. @hardnut I am in sameboat and IRCC has no news once the file moved to the local office in my case Scarborough local office.

Mine was February 8th.

Ok. After missing, did you write to them on webform why you missed ?

If you go to India you could get stuck for many months.

Yes I did along with a supporting document and still do not know if that has been accepted.

Thanks for your reply. I called IRCC a few days ago. The agent checked my account and said , I just have to wait for the final oath invite.
With so much backlog now, I am wondering if we will get the invite anytime soon.

You should not travel by any circunstance.
No show could mean "I am not interested", IRCC is so severe in those case.
A friend of mine, she wait for almost 2 years. It was in 2017.
Imagine now amid Corona Virus.
