Hi all.

I saw that the process time of PGWP is 85days from the CIC website.
So if I submit the application of PGWP on 1st of July and my study permit is going to expire on 31st of July,
do I need to extend my study permit or I should apply a visitor record?

Many thanks!

You dont need to do anything, once you have applied for PGWP you are on implied work permit status until tou get pgwp results and your study permit no longer matters.

So as long as I applied the PGWP, even my study permit expired I can still stay in Canada and work while I am waiting for the PGWP right?

If you applied while your study permit was valid and you had permission to work as a student (20hr/week) then you can work full time as soon as you make a PGWP application until a decision is made.

So after I apply PGWP, I can continue working as long as I have a valid study permit. If my study permit expires and I have not yet received the PGWP, then I need to stop working until I receive it.
Is that correct?

No, you can keep working until a decision is made on the PGWP application, even if the study permit has expired. The important bit is that it's valid at the time you apply.

Note that you can not work between receiving your confirmation of application and applying for PGWP, only once you apply can you work full time.

Thank you. So you mean that during the period after my graduation and before I apply PGWP, I cannot work right? And once I apply for the PGWP, I can start working full time?
