OMG no way, they are doing this?! I wonder if I am in that group... should I order GCSM notes? Its a group in which there are piles of applications; which they aren’t giving priority as of now because they think these applicants can wait. ( M also in it )
Is this the website you used? https://www.canada.ca/en/treasury-board-secretariat/services/access-information-privacy/access-information/request-information.htmlI submitted directly in the government website. Someone here in this forum shared the ATIP link to me actually... Didn’t use any third party site. And I have not seen any delays so far. With the volume will not be surprised if I am delayed this time.
But to apply for GCMS doesn’t one have to be a Canadian National?I submitted directly in the government website. Someone here in this forum shared the ATIP link to me actually... I don’t think what was shared in the message is an official confirmation and just an assumption. I don’t think anyone here as heard anything official about what “Covid pace” means. One can assume that these cases are delayed because of Covid. But I have seen from my immi tracker that various categories got approval - FSW Inland, CEC inland, PNP inland (Outland - they probably need to wait until border opens for people to be able to travel).OMG no way, they are doing this?! Who can make a requestBut to apply for GCMS doesn’t one have to be a Canadian National?
Well I don't so had to use a third party service and hence I could see the delaysWho can make a request
Any Canadian citizen, permanent resident or “any person or corporation residing in Canada” has the right to request access to records of government institutions that are subject to the Access to Information Act.
I reside inside Canada.
Okay thanks for the response. I applied for GCSM notes too and hopefully it will shine some light what's the hold up.I don’t think what was shared in the message is an official confirmation and just an assumption. If anyone got feedback from IRCC on what Covid pace means please share. I am bit tired of “shortly” they have been saying to me and don’t want to bother them as they seem they only read information and can’t make decisions. The webform just says Covid delay these days. Looking forward to GCMS and hopefully will be lucky with it.
Also, are you FSW-inland?I don’t think what was shared in the message is an official confirmation and just an assumption. Yes EE FSW InlandAlso, are you FSW-inland?
Okay, thanks for this Information. My 6 months processing time ends in 8 days. Im CEC-inland, but I am currently employed in another country and getting paid from there while living in Canada. I am in Canada on visitors visa. I applied to extend my visitors visa, so I am guessing that they are not hurrying my PR application either... what a time to be alive.Inland CEC here and my GCMS shows "COVID pace". I was informed I passed everything in April and I was awaiting for final decision. My 6 months already ended a couple of weeks ago. My medicals were passed in March, but expired in May. The call agent said officers are waiting for approval either to extend my medicals or to ask me for re-medicals. I'm guessing that I'm in the COVID pace group because they are waiting for IRCC clinics to open - maybe.
My BOWP was also approved last month, so I can see why they might not be rushing this application as I can still live and continue working here for another year.
Oh okay! So you are here on visitors visa or?Yes EE FSW Inland
The last time I checked my application was also under Covid pace. My last day of 6 months was on June 20,2020. The agent told me that basically they are prioritizing applications. I’m a CEC inland applicant. Facing the same situation. And there is no accurate information on Covid pace applications. Just have to wait!!!I don’t think what was shared in the message is an official confirmation and just an assumption.
