Applying for PR and my son has Mild autism

Hi All,

I am new to this forum. I am planning to apply for Permanent residency. My son has mild autism, will this affect our application in any way and will this lead to rejection of my application.

If his autism is mild, you should be absolutely fine.

This is old and they haven't completely eliminated it as yet.

Yeah but isn't the point that with mild autism, he's got nothing to worry about? Reforms are being put in place for major ones. They've tripled the threshold to nearly $20k.

Yes, of course I agree with you (no worries with mild autism), but when I first saw the link I thought that it was a new update and as I began to read it, I realized that it was from 2018. That's what I was pointing out.

We did our Medicals on June 9 2020, our son has mild ASD.
No update yet but I will let you know as soon as I will have an update regarding your question.

Unfortunately nothing.
Month ago i called IRCC and they told me that my son's medical is at CMAU
A week ago called IRCC again, They said agent not assigned to our medicals....
It is frustrating.... :-(

This is old news when medical inadmissibility policies changed and the threshold was increased to $20,000 per year from $6,000.
