But the range was just right below 437 which was the cut-off in the previous round.
Maybe I think too much, Ontario might not have any idea what they are doing either. Another bunch of NOIs will get wasted soon.

But the previous round only included CEC candidates, whereas this one did not. Don't know what to think anymore...

The previous-previous round did. The previous one, which was also in June, included quite a number of FSW candidates.
Anyway, I am clueless about the current round, too. Apparently, Ontario has no connection with IRCC and both just conduct the draws like they are the only one having access to the pool.

I know, there's no logic. The previous Ontario round only looked at certain NOCs though, this one looked only at French speakers. People in one category are not necessarily in the other. I'm a French speaker, but my NOC is not among the ones Ontario targets.

Yes, I am beginning to see the lack of connection...

I am wondering the same thing, they need a CLB 7 in french i think (not sure on this). So they should be getting like 30 additional points - regardless a relatively low score bracket.
Well, it is what it is..

42 points actually, considering the minimum CLB7 in each skill.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if that's how it works. Maybe the Feds do their EE draws their way, and the provinces have autonomy to conduct theirs completely separately, based on their respective needs.

Obviously, there is no way Canada can achieve their target for this year. I mean, applicants cannot complete their applications. IRCC’s workforce has been limited. Approved PRs cannot make their landings, ....
So what would be the safe choice that they made so as to stay close to the target? CEC Draws...

That is not clear but FSW candidates invited now definitely will not land this year.

I read an interesting article in the Arab times. It mentions that the economy in Middle East countries are crashing so people are focusing on moving to Canada. This will certainly increase competition and drive up the scores.

I was just trying to say that the article does not speculate or predict anything. I’m also frustrated with all the exclusive draws.

I’m scared that the economy in Canada won’t be in a good shape either. But the Canadian immigration has been more and more popular. Those 470s draws before the pandemic illustrated this.

There are about 1 million people on pgwp and lots of FSW inland
