I would like to learn english in Canada

Hi there,

I have a question, I would like to learn just English in Canada which I believe is called ESL. is it possible for me to do this? if it is, how does the process works on the visa?
one of my friends went to Canada with a visitor visa and he had an English course with that visa also he stayed there for about 6 months. can I do that too?

Sure, you can try applying for a TRV with the intention of remaining in Canada for 6 months (or less) to study English.

It can be quite difficult to get a TRV approved for this reason since IRCC will wonder why you can't just take language lessons in your own country. You will want to show that you have strong ties to your home country and have no plans to remain in Canada long term. You will also want to include an explanation about why it is neceessary for you to travel to Canada to study English.

You will not be allowed to work while you are in Canada. So you will also need to demonstrate that you have enough money to cover your livint expenses while you are here.

you can study english in canada, up to 6 months with a visitor visa, then you can extend your stay and study additionnel 6 months
