if you think the gov can recover the budget deficit from FSW draws and PR applications, they would have doubled the draw or draw every day.I think it depends, either CIC thinks that they should go for all the already-inland applicant and sacrifice the quality (that means the score will go down at once in a life time low) or they will go for really skilled personel.
If they choose the second option, then there may be new procedures for accepting FSW stream like mandatory quarantine, covid free certification, few visa centers that are already opened will be in charge for a broader geography region.
Updated: Just heard that CERB will be extended to 2 months that means more budget deficit to come ahead, maybe the government will need financial inflows and FSW definitely a good source to attract
As much as I want to disagree with you I am going to face the reality and agree with you. People we are in for a rough ride. Things will never be the same in general and Canada immigration wise.

Yes, the sooner people accept the reality lesser the disappointment is and now is a good time to consider having a plan B.

Guys probably we all can send a feedback. IRCC is asking for feedback so let us all request for FSW draws and highlighting our concerns like losing pointsor FSW-Inland applications etc.

The thing is I would probably say I am "not losing hope" or "avoiding the reality". I just dont want to believe there is possibility that they would pause FSW for the rest of the year.
I know this is an extremely tough year for people who want to migrate to another country. I like how we talk about plan B but where are those plan B & C?
US green card policy & H1B are extremely uncertain under current conditions; Australia and New Zealand policy have been harder for people who have no local education background to migrate; Canada was probably the most friendly place while the pandemic changed a lot of things.
Those are just my personal comments. Happy to discuss whatever. At the end we are working for the same goal.

Yes, you are right. But after reopening of VACs in Europe you can see that they have started issuing CoPRs to them. So I think the key isn't travel restriction or number of cases but the reopening of countries and VACs. As of now the IRCC website states 30th June 2020 date for online application and thereby making me speculate that the Federal govt may instruct reopening of more embassies after 30th June. Let's just hope for the best in JULY
This is just my personal opinion. IRCC is treading on thin ice, caught between a rock and a hard place, torn between advancing the immigration agenda while protecting the jobs for the locals. Sticky situation to be in. I pray for things to turn sooner than the 2022 dates the rumor mills are talking about

i feel like shxt as i did many years of schooling in canada, and actually thought i had more than enough crs points to immigrate any time before 30 years old, so never bothered to apply
unfortunately shxt just hit the fan in 2020,

The best we can do is to stay positive. The only reality is that there have not been FSW draws since March. Other than that, it is all speculation. Even IRCC refused to talk about future draws.
It is free for us to be be positive or negative. So why would we pick the latter.

If IRCC wanted to secure the jobs for the locals, they would not have invited CEC candidates, either. Why not pause the immigration altogether? Many CECs are also out of job or temporarily laid off. Instead, IRCC chose to roll the ball harder. A lot of CEC inland applications have been finalised within 4-5 months. They even skipped PPR and landing processes.
Because, CEC candidates have Canada experiences, pay taxes, contribute to the EI. Also, being laid off doesn't mean they are unemployed completely since when the economy opens up, they will be called back asap.
