Getting an exam before you submit your application
You have the option of getting an exam before you apply. This is called an upfront medical exam. To get one, contact a panel physician directly.
If you took an upfront medical exam
You must include a copy of the IMM 1017B Upfront Medical Report form that the doctor gave you after your exam. If the doctor works with eMedical, they’ll give you an information sheet print out.
You must attach that form to your paper application. If you apply online, you must upload that form before you can submit your application.
This is all I can find on the IRCC webpage, it doesn't specify whether I can do it overseas or not tho.
I am currently stuck overseas (in Canada actually) due to COVID 19 travel restrictions. I have recently received my CAQ and I will fly home next month to apply for study permit through SDS, so I guess doing medical exam upfront is a must anyways. I would like to do it as soon as condition allows to speed up the overall processing time.
Anyone have any knowledge on this? Would it be a disadvantage to my application?
Cheers
