I thought all CERB applications were getting approved? Why would they need extra staffI believe a lot of the IRCC staff are working processing CERB as the government said they were 'relocating' staff from other departments to help with CERB.

To approve all the fraudulent claims SMHI thought all CERB applications were getting approved? Why would they need extra staff
They’ll all be paying it back. A lot of people are going to get hit hard come tax season next year. The government will be recouping as much as it can. They’ll know who those people are.To approve all the fraudulent claims SMH
I commented on the ministers tweet about allowing families of Canadians and PRs now. I spoke about IRCC’s refusal culture for spousal TRV applications. We are all in the same boat. I think we should write to immigration minister. We cannot just sit and wait for them to wake up one day...bombard his twitter account, contact MPs..do whatever it takes.. Let this be the only thing he sees....
Sorry to break it to you, but the needs of Canadians come before your spouses or family members who are not Canadians. That is the logic the government is presenting.Which is fine. As long as they approve my spousal aplication and give my spouse a COPR, that is all I need. And they can resume working on any other government job as much as they like, no problem with me
You still need someone to approve CERB ...it is not automatic.I thought all CERB applications were getting approved? Why would they need extra staff
Well, i am Canadian and it is my need to be with my spouse. Unless they think I am not? And my need doesn't represent a Canadian need?Sorry to break it to you, but the needs of Canadians come before your spouses or family members who are not Canadians. Like I said, your spouse is not Canadian so his/her needs is to get PR is not a priority right now. You can always travel to reunite with your spouse outside Canada.Well, i am Canadian and it is my need to be with my spouse. Unless they think I am not? And my need doesn't represent a Canadian need?
So normal staff ratio should be sufficient. It is not like they are going through every application and approving/refusing CERB.You still need someone to approve CERB ...it is not automatic.
They still have to check if the bank info is correct., or if the SIN number is correct, or check for obvious frauds. So normal staff ratio should be sufficient. It is not like they are going through every application and approving/refusing CERB.
"You can always travel to reunite with your spouse outside Canada."Like I said, your spouse is not Canadian so his/her needs is to get PR is not a priority right now. You can always travel to reunite with your spouse outside Canada.
If you have issues with this, then you can take it with the Canadian government.
The government of Canada says your spouse's PR is not a priority right now during this pandemic and hence they diverted a lot of IRCC staff to help with covid19 issues inside Canada."You can always travel to reunite with your spouse outside Canada."
Really? This only applies to me or to everybody else in this forum?
"so his/her needs is to get PR is not a priority right now" sez who? You?

Like I said, if you have issues with what the government is doing, you can go complain to the government and hopefully they will listen to you.
We live in a free society, you can do whatever you want...if there is a delay in immigration process, you can do whatever you want to adapt and help you cope with a delay.
They still work but not processing all service .They’re reviewing the paper that’s how they do. For people already decision made. It’s up to visa office reopen.i got some info from my MPs office. Apparently there are about 3000 employees that work for IRCC Canada wide, at the moment there are only about 300 working. Hence the significant delay in processing. This is indeed disappointing news, as we all expected an uptick in processing when NS reopened.
IMO, processing it’s going to be slow as long as physical distancing measures are in place. Even if offices are open, the physical distancing measures will limit the amount of people working. The only mitigation I can think of is 24/7 processing broken into shifts.
I highly doubt they’ve actually stated it in writing, but unfortunately the reality is that many things are on hold, including immigration. With low levels of staffing, logically speaking yes, this process is going to take longer than normal for everybody."The government of Canada says your spouse's PR is not a priority right now"
Liar, send me the link they stated this explicitly. Just because you think something is blue, you want me to believe it is blue?
"We live in a free society, you can do whatever you want" like i need you to tell me that I can do whatever I want in this "free society"? Meh...
