Hi, I just want to know if there are any restrictions on traveling to home country after getting PR under HNC category?

Hi Everyone i really hope someone can help with my question/concern.
over 8 years ago my mother applied to sponsor me and my 3 sisters for permanent residency, i was sent to get my medical done and send in all additional information that they requested. a year or two later my application was denied. unfortunately i had miss the mark to be considered her dependent by one year, even though i was in fact her dependent but the law decided that i was not and was denied me reuniting with the only family that ever cared for me. I responded to immigration asking them to please allow me to receive my permanent residency and explained to them why i was not in full time schooling at the time. But immigration decided that my reasoning was not enough and denied my application again. Then i applied for a reconsideration. again still fighting to stay with my family. We then received our letters saying that our applications had been approved and we had to get down to the office in etobicoke. Imagine my excitement after 2 denials finally. Letter in hand we met the front desk she checked for our names and sure enough our names were there she asked us to take a number and have a seat. i patiently waited for my number to be called, my number was called went to the cubicle and was told that immigration sent me a letter by mistake and i was not supposed to receive my permanent residency. A mistake she said. i went through all of that got in front the cubicle and was told it was a mistake. she advised me to apply for HNC. I did so 24 months ago still having faith that the system will work for me. i have not heard anything as yet but i understand that we are in the midst of a pandemic and I am patient. I have been living here for 6 years and Canada has become my home. Anyway I'm sorry that this is soo much to read. I wrote it to ask whether or not anyone thinks that there is anything else that i can do to help my application?

Unfortunately there's really nothing you can do but wait. H&C applications are typically taking around 2-3 years to process right now so hopefully you will hear something soon. There is nothing you can do to help your application.
Dont mind me asking, where do u live right now? And when ur mom applied for ur pr application were u present with her or not? And whats ur age rn?
H&C programs take upto 3years to process u have to be patient and im sorry you had to endure such traumatized process
Canada, I was not with her at the time of application she applied 8 years ago i joined her two years later. i was being abused where i was before joining her so I had to. right now I am 29. At the time the law was dependent before the age of 22 i was 22 at the time she applied. So i missed the mark by 1 year.
Wow thats great that u made it to the CANADA, im happy for you and im sure the worst is behind you, and be optimistic, study, work and enjoy ur stay with family, eventually you’ll get accepted since 24 months are passed ill add like 6-8 months more before you receive your copr

Thank you for your kind words. I'm trying to remain hopeful and positive although i have heard the absolute worst about H&C applications. There isn't much encouraging stories out there.
Hey there, you can perhaps help yourself by continuing to update your application with any positive information that you can add to the existing application. The undecided H&C application is a "living document" so any schooling, memberships in positive programs, or contributions to Canada or your community generally reflect well upon your application when it is finally decided.
You're continuing establishment in Canada isn't reflected if it isn't updated within your application because the decision-maker only sees what is provided. Just being in Canada doesn't help them see the details of what you've been up to over the few years it takes to get the application in front of the officer.
If you're not doing this already then take some time and detail what positive changes have happened since the submission of your application and try and collect the positive evidence that demonstrates this and send it in to be added to your argument for a positive decision. Maybe you're learning French or volunteering somewhere, or whatever constitutes a contribution to your community. Tell them because otherwise they won't know.
H&Cs take a long time, but that's time that ought to be spent building a positive life and sharing that information with IRCC routinely.

That is very helpful information and I appreciate it. Thank you, the last two years i have been involved in a few things. I will be sure to start collecting some of those letters in support of my application.
