Greetings!
Both me and my wife are permanent residents and we moved here with our 1 year old who is a citizen of the US. He entered with a 6 month visit visa. We are in the process of applying for his permanent residence. Meanwhile, before his visit visa period expires, we would like to extend it by applying for a visitor record. My question, do we have to provide a letter of explanation stating that we are applying for an extension because we are in the process of applying for a PR for him? Or would this be unnecessary?
Other than the usual documents asked for in the application, are there any other documents that we need to include given his PR situation?
Thanks in advance for the help! This forum is a lifesaver!
