It's a reasonable solution but we cannot do that until they tell us to do so. Because i think their is a kind of payment should be made to VAC. I'M NOT SURE
Yes if they need a payment the situation will be different but in my case i'v paid all fees in advance and got decision made so maybe they will send me some updates regarding submitting passport soon.

I think we will hear new updates when Canada allow international flights otherwise thing will be unpredictable

I am very confused, the VAC in Amman shows temporary closed on the website but how are we getting emails of the office is closed? Are they working from home??
Can you please send me the email for the Canadian embassy to ask about application status and my next step of my application ?

And how to send the email ? is there specific information i should mentioned in the email ?

Thanks

There are two different places: visa center which is VAC and visa office which is i think the embassy. The one closed is VAC. but i think you receive emails from the embassy. I hope this may help
Yes it does. Thnx. Just confused coz I sent them email using the web form, and they replied and at the bottom of the email it said Amman and the Amman VAC address..

Yes there is specific form. Google Amman VAC web form. Or go on this link , just make sure you pick for Amman Jordan
https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp
And just scroll down to find web form link and fill it out and submit.

Check this forum on the last couple page. I copied the email exactly what I got from them and it was sent from Amman (because at the bottom of the email they had their full address where it was sent from and phone number etc)

No worries! I think you cannot contact VAC to ask about your application status. You need to contact IRCC in this regard. VAC is just to do biometrics or passports submission...etc.

To ask about your application you need to contact IRCC not VAC unless IRCC asked you to do something like biometrics at VAC

Amman office reply to my email

please be advised that due to the Coronavirus outbreak, we are unable to provide an estimate of the timeframe regarding next steps.

Please note that the Migration Section of the Embassy of Canada in Jordan is currently providing essential services only. We are not receiving nor sending passports to nor from the Embassy at this time.

We understand that this is a time of heightened anxiety. Please continue to follow local government health measures and instructions.

Please also monitor Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s (IRCC) website for updates to visa and immigration matters and to seek answers to general questions. Given our reduced capacity at this time, we are unable to respond to general inquiries:https://www.canada.ca/en/services/immigration-citizenship.html

I was about to email them, but looks like this the standard reply, they do not know what the next step will be

i have some bad news , just finished a long call with IRCC agent , the situation as follows :
family sponsorships are NOT included in prioritized application and they are only doing application for essential workers and work permits.
*the explanation of ( on or before march 18 ) means they didn't issue any visa for PR after that date and not planning to untill further notice so even if there is any visa issued after that they are not exempted from the restrictions
*the hold on files and delays are coming from canada in the first place and then the embassy's so even if the embassy want to issue the visa canada still didn't give the OK to do so
* they have no planned or estimated date when they will allow new immigrants visas to be issued and processed
*12 months processing time is not valid now and for sure there will be more delays

am sorry to bring the bad news but i wanted to share the info

Thanks for sharing. i was following up with other pages and google tracker sheet i have noticed in mid of may some applicants got their COPR and visa. for example Visa offices in china are open now and they issue visa to one applicant got his COPR last week ( but not sure about the travel). I do not understand what is going on now every day they announce something new and make it more stressful.
