IQAS ECA timeline tracking

Hi, has anyone successfully submitted their credentials to IQAS via TrueCopy? I haven't come across any posts about it.

IQAS states, "If your institution uses Truecopy, provide IQAS with access to your electronic documents."
One of my universities is unable to share an electronic copy, in which case I'll have to get the signed and sealed envelop delivered to TrueCopy who will then convert into a format compatible for IQAS and share it with them.

Also, just a backdrop, we really want to get our ECA done by IQAS because there's a high possibility CES and WES will not give my husband's MBA the equivalency of a Master's degree. And from reading all these posts, it makes sense to share the transcripts electronically to save on time. Please help.

Yes, I submitted my transcripts through the true copy on 15th May 2020 and the application status changed to inline for processing on 22nd May 2020. BTW, if your certificates are available over CVL NAD portal then you don't need to send physical copies.

Oh that was quick! So you shared your documents with TrueCopy through the NAD portal and then they shared it with IQAS correct?

Yes, my documents were available over CVL NAD and there are series of steps involved to share with the true copy team.

1. Firstly, the true copy team will ask to download the digitally signed document from CVL NAD and share it with them.
2. Then the true copy team will initiate the online verification process, which you need to approve through the CVL NAD portal (Need to pay for it)
3. Once approved, you are good to go.

After this, the true copy will share some links to make payment around 500 INR as initial charges and then around 900 INR for sending it to IQAS.
The true copy support team is quite cooperative and they respond promptly. This whole process is completed in 2 days and then 4-5 days for IQAS acknowledgment.

Thank you so much for explaining the process in detail. I'm stuck on the NAD Portal on the Enter OTP page for quite some time now, not sure why I'm not getting one.
In the IQAS application, the page where one is supposed to upload the documents, there's a place where one has to, 'If using digital services to transmit transcripts, upload a written statement identifying the service you are using or confirm your institution/service is sending the transcript to LBR.IQAS@gov.ab.ca" what did you upload over here? And did you do this after or before you placed the request for transcripts with TrueCopy.

I uploaded a generic confirmation letter stating the below info.

"I have used the “Truecopy” service to send the transcripts to IQAS. Transcripts have been shared from the e-mail id support@truecopy.in on 15th May 2020 with below reference detail.

File No. : XXXXXXXX
IQAS Application ID: XXXXXXXXX

The true copy has sent an email to IQAS on LBR.IQAS@gov.ab.ca, which has been provided by the IQAS to Truecopy for the documentation. "

I have uploaded this document once the true copy confirmed to me that my transcripts have been received and ready to process. After the confirmation, I uploaded the above letter (in a word document) and paid for the IQAS application.

Also, one last question, so sorry I'm bothering you with so many questions. Does the Application ID change after you've paid the IQAS fees? Because this number will have to be shared with the universities/ TrueCopy.

Also, I'm midway through the application and can't see any File No.

No worries, The file no. is important as it is stated clearly by IQAS that they need file no. to track the application. I am not sure if they are using application no. as well to track.

File no. gets assigned once you start drafting the application. Go to the home page where you can see the various option tabs "check status, complete draft application", etc (this is the page opens when you log in). On the top right below your name, you can see the file number.

These no. remain the same throughout the application. (Pre/Post)

Hi. I submitted application on 14 May 2020, university emailed transcripts on 15 May 2020, date received by IQAS is 19 May 2020. 27 May 2020 changed status to final review. It has gone unusually fast hasn't it.

Same here. Currently my status is “final review” for the last 10 days

My application is in final review since 30th April. I submitted my application on 8th October.
Do anybody have Any idea when this status will change?
