ANY ADVICE??? i think im in deep trouble with my work permit regulations

I submitted my EE application after i got my ITA.
I am still on my work visa but little did i know that I was NOT allowed to start a small business with my current visa.
Whats funny is that I was issued a Business Number under sole proprietor and of course I thought since I was not denied with anything, it was completely fine.
As I was side hustling hard on the side, my business started to pick up and within the 1st month of opening my online shop, I did about 9 thousand in sales.

I wanted to incorporate my business so I did some research online and was then informed that I WAS NOT ALLOWED TO OWN A BUSINESS.

Do you guys think this will effect my EE application process or possibly deny it?
I'm far from filing the taxes and have stopped all progress for my online shop

From your previous posts, it appears you have a PGWP; if so, you are allowed to operate a sole prop. If you have a closed work permit, then no, you aren't.

The rules regarding sole prop vs. corp are different. If I recall from previous posts (and this may be wrong, it's not something I'm familiar with), you require a Canadian citizen/PR business partner to incorporate.

Where can i find the info that says I can start a business as sole prop on PGWP? Now that I think of it, I must be valid since they did approve my sole prop business number.

Just like IRCC doesn't specifically state that OWP holders are allowed to work at banks, grocery stores, law firms,etc., you won't find anything specifically stating you can operate a sole prop.

this is so confusing because I can explicitly find that non Canadians or residents cannot own a business.. Crazy Canada

I don't know what you are referring to. Non-residents can certainly own businesses in Canada.

I'm reading some articles here and there and you're right. I cant find any specific point that says people with open work permits, PGWP, cannot own/start a business. But i'm also reading some people say "Businesses in Canada can only be started by Canadian citizens or permanent residents (landed immigrants) " thats why im so confused.. haha

There are different kinds of businesses. As I said, the rules for non-residents starting corporations are different.
