I submitted for my PR renewal in May and i can see application submitted message on May 12 on CIC. My PR card is expiring in Sept.

Now that the processign time being shown is 174 days and i think i wont be abe to get my card renewed by then how does that affect my residency status? As to what happens once my PR card expires?
Your PR card expiring has no impact on your status as a PR.

hello everyone,

I have sent my PR renewal applications for myself and my family. I want to know how to keep a track of the applications ? I read somewhere that we can check status on two different sites, one is ECAS and one new system.

Can someone please help me with details of both as how to see status from both ?

Thank you.
you can sign in with your GC Key - very straight forward to fill up.

Have your PR details ready; it will be used to authenticate yourself. I find it more detailed then the CIC website - check application status.

Could you please clarify and let know where you see the message that "application submitted"? is there a CIC link where you saw that submitted message?

I received an email with an attachment - the attachment was a letter which confirmed I am now a permanent resident of Canada. The letter states my CoPR Document #, but no other details such as expiry.

The contents of the letter state that I need to apply for my PR card which requires a photograph alongside my CoPR Document to be sent to an address

Is this letter that was in the attachment my CoPR document? I should I wait for a different document which will be my CoPR?

You are an inland applicant there is no need for an expiry date you are already in Canada. Are you in Canada? Follow the directions to apply for PR card unless you aren’t in Csnada.

I am pleased to see that there is some movement in applications. Do you mind sharing your timeline?

I noticed this morning that the PR renewal processing time is now changed to 166 days. Maybe a positive sign.....?

I submitted PR renewal application by post on March 8. No response yet - I do not see the status also when I check online - I cannot link the application online also under my CRA. Any idea what's going on - how can I track my application? PR card expires in August.
