Maintaining legal status while PR app. in process

Hello there,
I have sent in my PR application along with an open work permit application. My visitor visa expires in 3 days. I'm confused about extending my visitor visa or no because I applied already for a work permit and that's considered TR right . need your help soon

Heya! Just apply for an extension. We have seen a lot of cases in this forum where the Pr app gets returned because of something and the applicant goes out of status. I would personally just apply for a visitor record As it’s a straightforward process and will give me some reassurance just in case the app gets returned and i gotta resubmit it.

But the open work permit application is basically the same forum as the extension visa application
same information is being repeated . I already submitted an application to change condition or extend my stay or remain in Canada as a worker

If the PR and/or OWP app is returned, you will be out of status. If that happens, you could be beyond the point of being able to apply for Restoration and would not qualify for an OWP until near the end of the PR process.

Your choice whether to apply for the visitor extension as a back-up or not.
