Hi folks! I hope you and your families are in good health during this challenging time.

I'm planning (or at least hope) to land in Canada on the 19th of June in Toronto. Essentially, I planned to settle down in Calgary, but there is only one option for flights - with a stopover in Toronto. Could anyone counsel me whether it is mandatory to self-isolate in the first port of entry (Toronto) or I can proceed to Calgary?

I am also planning to settle in Calgary, but I wanted to avoid going through Toronto and adding additional flights and risk exposure at airports. Hence I have booked a direct flight to Calgary from Dubai via Amsterdam. This way, my first POE in Canada will be Calgary. I believe you can do the same. If you are unable, you can quarantine at your final destination.

I do have a question - I was asked if there would be any stuff to follow after my landing, and I answered no. But I was not asked for the list of items that I was bringing with me this time. Is that going to be a problem?
I was asked to fill a form that list all the personal belongings, the officer stamped a copy for me. The moving company needs this form stamped and they should come back to you asking for it. Not sure what happens if you can't provide it.

Hi Guys,

Is Air Canada running flights at the moment? I am based in the UK and was planning to travel on June 13th (COPR ends on June 25). I had booked my flights using British Airways and they keep cancelling my flights. So im looking to book flights with Air Canada. Just want to know how consistent Air Canada is with its flight schedules at the moment. Thanks in advance!
I think their flight schedules was very reliable the last weeks, at least between Canada and Paris.

You will have need to have a 14-day quarantine plan for your final destination., i.e. whatever place in Sasketchwan you are travelling to. Once you arrive in Toronto, you will present your quarantine plan to the officers and then take your flight to final destination. Once you land there, take your bags, go straight to the quarantine location.

6 month extension starting from when exactly? expiry of first COPR?

Nothing is guaranteed when it comes to flight these days. Until you finally get an extension you shouldn’t book a flight unless it is well in advance. Youare unlikely you be able to qualify for a repatriation flight. Those who live in Canada already or are PRs/citizens will get priority. Seniors or spouse and children being reunified with family would be next.
Hey,
My COPR is expiring on 5 July. I am planning to fly in last week of June or early July. How can we check preparation flights or Air India flights. When I go on Air India website they show 2 flights every day. any idea, on how to book flights?

Just landed in Toronto yesterday from the U.S. It was smooth in general. The only thing was that when I checked in at the airport, the Delta staff told me only PR could travel and asked for my PR card. I explained the exemption and everything, but he said he needed a number on the PR card to process the boarding pass. I handed him my COPR, but it seemed that he was not familiar with it. Eventually he tried my UCI number on the COPR, and it went through. At the boarding gate, I was asked for my PR card again. I explained again and the lady just let me in without seeing my COPR.

On the Canada side things are easy. I was the only one doing landing at the immigration desk. It took about 10 mins. The system somehow couldn't process the address for mailing PR card, so the officer gave me a number to call later.

I do have a question - I was asked if there would be any stuff to follow after my landing, and I answered no. But I was not asked for the list of items that I was bringing with me this time. Is that going to be a problem?
Thanks for the update. Are you planning to return to USA. Let us know what the process you followed to get the SIN number.

Hi,

My COPR expires on 5 July. I wrote to IRCC for extension and they replied that my file is with Delhi office and I must write to him. I am going to write to them but, I am also planning to check flights in order to see the possibility to go. Does anyone knows about any flights from Delhi to Vancouver in the last week of June or early July.

anyone who is planning to travel at the same time.

I would recommend you to directly call the airlines ask them ... Few airlines like Emirates have started operating but with limited connectivity so best option for you is to book open tickets if possible.

Just out of curiosity... if i were unable to get my SIN (during my soft landing). Would it cause issues when i come back for the hard landing?
Somebody corrects me if I am wrong but they will never ask your SIN when you come back for good. It seems to be only useful to start working or claim benefits (maybe more, I'll find out ;-)).
