Hi @cansha @sid1987

My case is similar to Chirag's. We have been in touch. Both of us are self employed and got a remed request on the same day. He submitted his remeds through another application but I have not been able to do so cause of the lock down in Mumbai.

I have a question. Should I first apply for the GCMS note and see if my file has been approved or should I do my remeds first. Doing remeds for the whole family will cost me almost 17K INR. GCMS is just 1000/-

Also the extension of remeds was 3 months can I ask for a longer time given the lockdown or if I have to wait for the GCMS to come first.

Would appreciate your feedback

Hi. If they have requested again for PCC, then yes you will have to submit it again because considerable amount of time has passed since June 2018. If your country is in lock down, or you are not able to submit them within time frame, let them know so early with reason. They will understand as it is due to Covid and lockdown, and give an extension date. Also, when in doubt, contacting IRCC call center to re-confirm is good idea too. Hope this helps.

Permanent residence applications that we’re still processing
Some steps you may not be able to complete right now include
  • submitting your passport or supporting documents, such as a police certificate
  • completing an immigration medical exam
No application in progress will be closed or refused because of documents missing due to COVID-19. We’ll automatically give you 90 days to complete these steps. Once you’re able to, complete the steps as soon as possible to avoid delays.

I haven't seen IRCC asking for PCC again before. Generally , if they ask for PCC, it is for cases where you spent say 5.5 months and technically didn't need PCC while applying but they decide to ask for it.

In this case they are asking for India again. And this could very simply be because IRCC uses "copy paste" email templates.

As suggested above you can call and ask whether it is needed or else if things are open in your area just get a new one and submit. This request shows they are close to issuing PPR.

just send what they asked for. dont wait for gcms or do a back and forth with them. if they are asking for all this then most likely your app is approved or atleast in the final stages.

I see lot of activity in other people’s files, my remeds have elapsed the 1 year time and I have NOT got any remeds requests. I guess they have extended it right? Any clue guys.
Also my March GcMS was way different from the one shared above. It just had RFV approved mentioned if I remember right. Still nothing on my file. As usual. Any food for though guys?

RFV approved means your file is approved. Ideally you should have received PPR by now. One possibility is that they sent you an email but it went to junk folder but I think you checked that wasn't the case.

I have no clue what are they doing with your file. It just seem to have slipped through the cracks. You can try calling the call center and tell the agent that you know from GCMS notes that file has been approved and if they can leave some kind of note for an officer to send the formal mail.
