Hello everybody,

I applied for citizenship in June 2019 and passed the test in Scarborough (Toronto) on Dec 13, 2019.

I am currently overseas for work and I am getting a bit nervous as I haven’t been called for the oathyet.

Am I supposed to receive a letter or an email?
Anyone who took the test on my same day?
If I can’t attend the oath because working overseas, can I reschedule the oath and how many times?

Any tips or info would be greatly appreciated

thank you

Same center and my oath invite was almost two months after test. And over two months waiting for the invite letter.

You’re within 3 months, I wouldn’t worry just yet but as per soother poster did your status change to DM yet?

Working overseas is not likely to be a “good reason”. I’d make all possible efforts to attend an oath date. Not too late for IRCC to change their mind if you keep saying I’m working abroad.

If no decision has been made I don't believe you are on the waiting list for oath. If you've not had a DM in closing on two months now I'd ring IRCC and ask what the hold up is. They could just be waiting for security clearance.

Their aim is three months. I'd give them a call in a couple of weeks given there is normally 2-3 week lead time.

Hello guys, i have an unfortunate case! i hv applied for my citizenship on 29th May 2018. Got the test date for Dec 2018 but i hv requested for another date.
the new date was 14th March 2019. i have passed the test but unfortunately the officer there while reviewing my details saw that i had done a mistake in one of the travel dates. instead of 5th May i hv put 12th may which has reduced my physical presence to 1093. They also saw another day where i hv missed my flight on 24th sep just at the gate so i flew again on 25th sep. The officer didnt put any date so technically i hv left Canada on 24th but the fact is i hv left on 25th. later on in june 2019 i was asked to giv explanation to these absences but so far no news. cn anyone help wht might happen to this file ? did anyone see similar case in the past where the physical presence was corrected after passing the citizenship test ?

Yes ofcourse! but did you ever hear similar issue ? why was this not verified before and why was it was noticed after the citizenship test!
Regardless of when or if, the person verified dates that you put in incorrectly
Fortunately they verified the incorrect dates
You only passed the test , you haven’t done the oath and been granted citizenship
You’ll have to wait

I know they sometimes verify the dates with stamps on passport AFTER test. that sounds stupid to me too.
