What is the reason of moving the application from Edmonton to Ottawa ? Whether all the approval will be released from Ottawa office ?

I am not sure.. Everything was passed for me and got a ghost update yesterday. I thought that could be final approval..When I called them, they said there is no update in the file. However, the officer mentioned it could be due to movement of file from Edmonton

I also called today since I am completing my 6 months on Monday. When I called on April 22 after a GU the agent told me that everything is valid and waiting for final decision. Also my file was at Edmonton. Today agent told me the same status but file is at Ottawa now.

I got a phone call today from a blocked number. When I answered the caller identify himself and that he is calling from Ircc. I said okay. He told the reason he is calling and that because people cant come to their office so the call is to formalize my landing. He proceeded to ask a few question:
1. Have been convicted anywhere in the world
2. Have been denied entry by border agents
3. If my kids and wife are currently in my address in vancouver
4. If one of my kids who is a US citizen is living with me in Canada
5. My last entry date
6. The date of birth of my kids and my spouse
I answered the question as honestly as I can. He then said I have become a PR and that email will be sent to me from now on till Monday and the email will give instructions about other details. He said if I am not sure i should call call center agent to verify. The conversation ended and he said congratulations for being a PR.

Hey as you said i missed the call from unknown number 20 m ago.Do you have any idea What time they can call us or if we missed it they gonna leave any voicemail.It is very rare that there is a call from unknown number on my phone and i am suspicious that it can be from them.
But i checked my profile there is no update and no email,,,moreover today is sunday.

Guys, if you are inland applicants this is not the time to ignore any calls even those with private number. What do you have to lose by picking those calls?

what will happen if the english test(celpip) expires while our pr application is in progress? Especially for pr paper-based applicants like us? any thoughts? thanks

IELTS/CELPIP - Doesn't matter. Should be valid till the date of receipt of your application.
Medical : They can extend it for another 3 months or can ask for a re-medical.
PCC : Not too sure but I haven't seen anyone been asked to resubmit it.

All documents especially the english exam , are valid when the application is submitted. my friend's celpip will expire on july and mine is on october this year. that is why he is worried if she needs to take a new one espcially in this covid scenario that it is not easy to book for english exam. I also read some threads that there are some application that got refused because of expired english test (Express entry applicants most of them). I hope the rule was not the same on paper-based applicants like us.
