thank you but even if you lived in more than one province you should be good too. I know people with three province too and they got their dream card in 4.5 months(CEC)
Using healthcare coverage from another province while not meeting residency requirements is fraud. Personally I don't get it but it's the law

Honestly I have no idea what you're talking about because I lived in only one province from the beginning. But lets say I lived in Ontario, Worked full time and got health card. If I am moving to other province and not cancelling health card does not make me fraud. If I get health card at first place without not living in the province should be considered fraud. Simply not cancelling benefits does not sound like a bigger deal, Unless you consult physician in province and get treatment for free after moving. In short if you dont claim anything you should be good. Thats violation but still its not fraud.

I said "using" not "having" and by using I mean if you use medical services, which are paid by your province while you're not meeting your residential obligations there, then it is fraud.

Walk in is almost closed for PCCs, usually CECs mail application to consulate and PCC is mailed back in max three weeks.
But that is for Canada, right? I am referring to their native land PCC. I am pretty sure not all the CEC candidates who got the ITA's will have their PCC in hand.

429 CEC aplicant here, i am not even in pool, should i register and wait for ITA or no chances? Will ask islander and 96indianstudent to ignore this question.
You never know what's in store and I believe no harm in creating the profile.. There was an Ontario PNP which was conducted recently and ppl with scores till 421 were invited. So better to create a profile and wait

Not sure why i'm being painted as someone anti-CEC, nothing could be further from the truth. I want everyone to get their shot, that's only ever been my point.

I've just been presenting the other side of the argument for balance in this thread because at times the rhetoric seems to be pretty lopsided against FSWs.

CECs should fully take advantage of the situation, i've never said otherwise. This is a golden opportunity for you guys to receive an ITA, you should make the most of it.

I just don’t get people arguing between FSW or CEC. I mean, both have it’s good or bad. I personally have 3 years of foreign work experience saved up money came to Canada and study 1 year certificate worked for 1 year. Eligible for both CEC and FSW. People who have 470+ FSW just relax, you will get you invitation once the Covid-19 situation is resolved. If you are FSW 460, and complaining just consider coming to Canada to study for a year. It’s not that expensive..My foundation program tuition was around $14000 in total, given that I worked part time during my study. With the part time work and one year work, you make all those money back. If you have a bachelors degree back home. That’s even better, now you can apply under 2 or more degree, which adds even more points.
Can’t say foreign experience is 100% relevant in Canada. It all really depends on the industry. For example, if you work in IT, well that’s for sure are relevant. But I also know people who are in advertising, marketing industry, given the cultural differences from different country, doesn’t really matter if you have 10 years of experience with tons of portfolios, employer will usually prefer Canadian experience. I also know a guy who has a math PHD, been a teacher for 10 years In Turkey. But the first year he came was to drive Uber and go study a diploma. And I also know a guy who has a master degree never studied in Canada, kept applying jobs with Lima, got a closed work permit and got his PR after one year work experience in Canada. All I’m saying is, when we are applying for PR, we are hoping Canada to give us a chance to show them we are valuable in the society. There’s nothing to be complained. If there’s no FSW draw, just come and study for a year, increase your chance. The more effort you put into it, the more “luck” you will get. If you are really desperate, just try all stream, PNP, CEC, FSW or even study French.
