Don't mind all these selfish people.
Why not say January 2021?
I am hoping for a cec draw till end of the year as well! That will be a good thing if they resume general draws by then. But looking at how the boarders are closed till end of June and overall Canadian unemployment is now at all time high. I feel they will resume after October or November. Also since they need to improve testing and screening for covid-19....

The thing that stopped FSW draws was worldwide travel restrictions not the unemployment rate or the land border closures. The world is slowly coming back to life, so good news is right around the corner for FSW candidates. I do not understand why people think the unemployment rate has anything to do with IRCC suddenly inviting CEC candidates.

Hello guys , the reason behind the current trend is travel restrictions and lockdowns all around the world , and IRCC knows people could Not get their documents done in these sort of circumstances . Hence , I request people not to speculate , and unemployment has nothing to do with this trend . If this was the case , then IRCC would have stopped draws all together . Dnt get frustrated , as I feel IRCC is doing the right thing

The "ray of hope" discussions are always full of speculations. That's pretty much what they are all about.

If the speculations stress you out, then avoid reading the "ray of hope" threads. Problem solved.

I am just being honest! Hope I am not offending anyone
I have been monitoring the CRS trends for months now and also the Canadian political news and local news everyday! Just tell you all the truth I personally feel it will be not until August they will start resuming general draws. Even the recent pnp draws where all cec applicants! It’s very hard to screen and test the covid-19 if international travel resumes. They still have to come up with a plan to screen travelers. Also doing the ielts test is kinda difficult I got refunded my money for a registration in June! I hope they resume ielts general test in July here in Ontario! Hope and praying cec applicants get their Pr much sooner because we have more money and time invested! Also for many of us this is our last hope till our work permit gets expired!

Agreed. And gradually things are reopening in Canada and around the rest of the world. Earlier today, Emirates and Etihad resumed flights to a number of destinations, including Toronto. This is great news for FSW candidates. :)

FSWs are not entering Canada the moment they receive ITAs, they will have 3 months to submit their application and at least 6 months to have their applications processed, and most likely will take longer. By then, there will either be a vaccine or most countries will have herd immunity. Applicants are also going to have their medicals done, and can be tested for covid when they land.

I don't see why they shouldn't be allowed to be invited at least as from July onwards.

Those flights are only if you are eligible, essential workers and are Canadian citizens or PR holders! It’s clearly written on their website. Stop spreading false information... without proper facts

Air Canada is already flying once a day from Toronto to Heathrow and Montreal to Paris.

It's true there are conditions on who can fly for now, but that doesn't mean it will last into June or July.

I know of this fun fact, been following the trends from 2 years. Speaking of 468, yeah, it's a fine line between ITA and waiting forever, and if the Covid19 situation was not here, it could never have arrived. But today, when there haven't been a lot of entries above 470 (as seen in the breakdown of pool), we can hope around a month of non addition of high scores. That's why I said 3 - 4 draws could make it possible.
You are right. Not sure why some dudes say the cut-off would be 475 or 480 plus when those dudes see the lesser addition of high scorers to the pool. IELTS is not at all resuming operations till June end.
Even if they resume by July, it will not run with full capacity
Plus ECA bodies are too badly bombarded by applications. IQAS has gone a step ahead and stopped accepting applications to relax a bit
Even when ECA bodies would resume, their offices are flooded massively by an insane amount of transcripts and files which might take months to sort that first.
So this is it. Once all draws resume, dudes in the pool will benefit and yes, score can logically and clearly drop even up to the 450s.
No IELTS from March until June (except very few countries)
So highly motivated aspired energetic dudes aiming to get CLB 1000000 or above cannot write IELTS any sooner. Just do not listen to naysayers who say score will be above 475 for up to a decade
As nations are slowly and gradually opening up, June would be the time for FSW dudes to see an all program draw
Dudes who say score will be 475 for 100 years or maybe a millennium must really reconsider their opinion before commenting

Do the basic math, there are enough people in the pool with 470+ scores. So, the first general draw (when it resumes) will have a cut-off in the 470s. Depending upon the influx of the new candidates, the cut-off will drop. Not everyone gets their IELTS or ECA at the last minute. I got my IELTS TRF and ECA report several months before I created my profile and received an ITA. You have been telling this for a while now but no FSW candidates with 468 and lesser than that have been invited since the beginning of this COVID situation due to one reason or another. I am hoping for a general draw soon but you have to be realistic too.

I would go the other way too. It takes a long time to actually arrive in Canad after getting an ITA. I don't think short term border closures have anything to do with it.

they are going to increase the h1b minimum salary required in usa to level 4 which is about 150K - 225K depending on the location. only about 5% of h1b's get this salary.
