I am currently in canada since August/2019, i was on an open work permit and it will expire on June/2020. The company am working in has decided to sponsor me and provided me with an employment offer, paid the compliance fees and provided me with the employment offer number to apply for a closed work permit lmia exempt
when am applying for the work permit and after answering all questions and reaching last step to submit forms and documents, i have all required supporting documents (job offer letter, employment offer number, record of employment and proof of qualifications) except for "Letter of invitation", the question mark beside it indicate that it a letter from a host to invite me to come to canada and their relation to me with information about both of us and hosting me to be with them and show resposibility to pay my expenses for travelling.
Can anyone tell me why do i need that although am already inside canada and the form imm 5710 clearly says applying to extend or change status from inside canada meaning that i already have a status and living here and supporting myself (have a home, applied for taxes in 2019, receiving income already)
Shall i upload a letter explaining my situation instead of it or that will lead to my rejection and it is a must for someone to invite and support?
