So one can't transit through heathrow anymore?

Didnt say that only said to watch out for UK implementation of 14 day isolation . They are still working out what that means exactly and given LHR is a major transit hub it has put many airlines plans to restart on hold. Used to be 1400 or so flights a day and whilst not easy to determine this is likely now around the 40-50 mark at the moment , so 5-10 percent of normal.

It could mean transit airside not affected or could mean moment a transit passenger leaves airside then subject to the quarantine much same as Canada if someone leaves airside. Latter considered a ‘sterile’ area as much as anywhere but once exit airside then general public of course come into play Increasing the risk.

UK are still to announce full details even though most UK press tend to think this is 8 weeks too late and should have been implemented back end March, begin April. Major issue now for airlines, BA threatening now to not start flights as planned from July so expect others may hesitate now given who wants to go to UK to spend 14 days in isolation and same on way back.

Is there any UAE resident who wants to travel to canada for landing and plan to return back to UAE?
Though flights are available for both inbound and outbound, it requires approval from MOFAIC.. to travel back to UAE..

Also, did anyone so far get the sure steps for COPR extension?
If we are sure enough, I would prefer to delay my landing and would plan for my permanent move once things are better.. dont want to take any chances with my Kid, specially!!

Hey, There are a lot of people who got COPR extension emails and these are specific. Saw people on Telegram posting about their extension experience, If i can find any will forward it.
Yes you can delay and write to IRCC that due to COVID restrictions you are not able to travel and want extension.

Yes, Please do not travel with kids. Im sure you will get an extension but it might take another 2-3 months to get it. However with the current situation that shouldnt matter.

I think for SIN, you will first need address proof, like a bank statement of you apply online. If you have any address proof, you can upload that, so friend's address should work.
I will be back to States after quarantine, but I have my brother living here, so used his address for PR card.

Secondary doc - passport
Address proof - a letter with our name and address like bank letter / utility letter/ university correspondence/ govt letter ...

so my friends has permanently settled in Canada and she has her own SIN ... now if I provide her address as proof for our (my husband and I) SIN will that cause any pblm for her or us ? Will you be applying for SIN by online with your brother’s address?

I landed on May-14. I've posted my experience yesterday morning in the same forum. Copied below for your reference:

Boarding - it was smooth, airlines agent did not even checked my PRTD or COPR, just checked my ID page of paper and issues boarding passes.

@ Toronto - landing was smooth. I was the only one in immigration office. Immigration competed in 10 minutes. Customs took time (around 25 mins) to process goods to follow list due to some system issue.
Service Canada is closed, so no SIN at airport or outside.
Rented a car, went straight to hotel with a stop for online grocery pickup at Walmart.

Because I have heard people giving their friends hydro or electricity bill or phone bill as a Proof of address in their SIN application and still getting the SIN in mail. So this way one doesn't have to wait for self quarantine to end and can start the SIN process right away.

Yes I am also positive that we should get the extension as this is something exceptional where we are left with no option other than waiting..

Yes, I was planning to open up a new bank account in my name using my brother's address. As d.c.sharma mentioned above, I will try using my brother's bank statement as address proof to try to get the SIN.

How is Air India allowing to London without a UK visa we have a COPR

You don't need a visa for UK as long as you remain airside and in transit. You must be in possession of a valid Canada visa and copr.
In case you book your flight through Heathrow on two separate tickets, there is a risk that you will have to collect your baggage at LHR and ré chekin at departures for your second flight. This might require you to pass immigration and hence will require a visa.
