CoPR, but not landed - am I a 'permanent resident' of Canada?

I am already in Canada but CoPR hasn't validated yet due to the current situation. My wife and son is landing in Canada on June 2, 2020. Will that be okay that my family's CoPR validated first prior to mine considering I'm already in Canda?

this won't work. you need to flagpole and become a PR only after that your family members can land.

No, they can't land before you. Unless IRCC lands you before they enter, they would only be able to enter as visitors.

Hi. I'm going through FSW. Am I bound to any specific province or am I able to land anywhere in Canada to activate my PR status? Main applicant and dependents are landing in two different provinces. Is that okay?

Make sure the main applicant lands first.

No you are not until landing. Also can you use AVR to land with expired H1B stamping?

Hello APPNOV2014NY. Please help me understand the AVR process. My H1b stamping expired more than 4 years ago. Ive been in USA and am working full time. I have my approved H1b and i797 document. Can I utilize AVR? Can I go to a border and get stamping done for myself on my passport (expired visa)? Or is it only possible if visa is valid?

Any change in life situation can be updated at the consulate at the interview.
Like my address and birth of child I got it updated when they verify your status in canada and other documents before you see the interviewer.

Just want to add that they understand interviews are far apart from the time we fill out the ds160 form due to Covid.
They will update it for you.
My husband also did landing this time and we got his copy details updated /took it along so they can see it on the spot.
