Hello everyone,
I am really scared while writing this post. I am an international concordia student and I took a LOA last summer semester in 2019 because there were no courses of my interest and I worked full time during that period. Now when I Was speaking to my advisor she said LOA can impact in getting PGWP.
I don’t know what to do now, when I applied last time, my university didn’t told me about this. I am completing my masters in Dec 2020 and wanted to apply for PGWP and now am getting all this stories.
Please suggest what to do how to get rid of this.

thanks,
Sumit

You will have a lot of convincing to do when next you are applying for any status. Actually, I will encourage you to confirm if your study permit is still valid. As it stands, you have had two leaves of absences, which is not good, and possible illegal work, which will be bad.

Try to confirm if that summer semester is a scheduled break for your program, although being a masters student i doubt it will be so.

Not much to do at this point, you cant take leaves and qualify for PGWP by the rules, the officer might still grant you one. Make sure they don't find out you worked, that's almost guaranteed rejection.

No, I am not taking any other LOA that's the only one the last time I took.
My study permit is valid till March 2021 and its a scheduled break in my university.

You must be continuously registered. Unfortunately now you're no longer eligible for pgwp.
