I applied in May 2019 and IRCC requested PCC in Feb 2020. I have submitted my RCMP and FBI certificates late Feb and yet the application status online still says “Action Required”. Does this mean they haven’t received the reports or they usually don’t update it on the website?
No need to worry sometimes the protal does not update at all until after DM if IRCC says they have the info then they have it and RCMP uses the portal to upload information just like when you do your medical its automatically updated in the system for IRCC if GCKEy does not update don't worry..

All Paper work from you yes. Security No. but also if it take long for the security then you may be required to provide another medical or PCC if they expire ..
Still I dont underestand that point, they screen all of us before hearing and if one does not pass they wont forward his/her file to IRB. So what is this security again while you have passed before your hearing was set!?

You Mean CBSA? I know they do the screening before the hearing which is done by IRB
IRB remains independent from IRCC and the Minister. CBSA same they are all under the umbrella of immigration but all separate so all need to carry out separate reports and have their own process and procedures.

I'm going to try and use an example from my job and this is the only way i can try to explain.

if you apply for a personal loan and was approved but choose not to use it because now you want to apply for a different loan to use on a difference service or financing then you have to do a separate credit check even thou we just approved you... same company but different department personal loan different from mortgage and different from Financing.

Again it sucks, and we have canadian who say the same thing bout the service why do i have to do another credit check and you just approved me for 10k but each product has a different credit model.... IRCC, IRB, CBSA, all immigration but still different.

Mandate
The Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB) is Canada's largest independent administrative tribunal. It is responsible for making well-reasoned decisions on immigration and refugee matters, efficiently, fairly and in accordance with the law.

The IRB decides, among other responsibilities, who needs refugee protection among the thousands of claimants who come to Canada annually.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has the overall responsibility for immigration and refugee matters. IRCC determines claims for refugee protection made abroad at Canadian embassies and consulates. It is responsible for selecting immigrants, issuing visitors' visas, and granting citizenship. It is also IRCC that determines the eligibility of all refugee protection claims made in Canada and refers eligible claims to the IRB for a decision.

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is responsible for carrying out enforcement functions related to immigration and refugee matters. These include detention, removals, investigations, and intelligence and immigration control functions overseas.

The IRB reports to Parliament through the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, but the IRB remains independent from IRCC and the Minister.

All IRB decisions have an impact on the lives and security of the individuals appearing before the IRB. They contribute to the security of Canadians, the integrity of Canada's immigration and refugee systems, and the strength and diversity of our nation. Refugees and immigrants have always been part of Canadian history and will continue to help shape our future.

In the essence, I guess the "ready for landing" status just means that the decision is going towards the positive, but all the background, security screenings are still missing to make a final decision. The wording of ready for landing strikes as something like "everything is looking good on the IRCC end but the AIP (although it does happen before DM at times) and DM can be issued only upon getting those results". In a way it sounds encouraging! Maybe not everything is complete but it's taking the road towards the finish line. I'm curious to see what I will find once I get a hand on my GCMS notes ;P

Yes I called RCMP and they said they have mailed it 10 days after the fingerprints were taken. I also contacted IRCC and they said don’t worry we have received them, but I still don’t see the updated status online. Did this happen to you as well? Or your status was updated once they received them?
They don't update the system as soon. one friend got DM and COPR while online system says in last update medical passed in last year
