Hey people, I have a quick question about the Visa for PGWP. So I have applied for PGWP and got my permit a week ago. But in the process of the PGWP my Visa has expired, so I assume I need to apply for Visa as well. Can you give me some information about this, why we need to do our Visa application separately, and why don't they just give us a Visa as well as the PGWP, plus which Visa type do I need to apply now ? I could not find any information regarding this issue on the official website so any links are also appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You weren't required to leave Canada and return in order to get your PGWP, so a TRV was not required. Applying for a TRV is always a separate process with inland applications because it is your choice whether to apply for one or not. There is no "visa type". You just apply for a TRV.
Oh I see, so basically we get TRV if we want to leave the country for some reason, and to come back, am I correct ?
Yes, though everyone should ensure they always have a valid TRV in case they need to leave and return for any emergency/urgent reason.
