Hello Everyone,

My study permit and student Visa were approved before Mar.18. Online. And my student visa was also stamped on my passport before Mar.18.
Since I’m not landing in Canada. I don't have a printed Study permit which will be provided at the border IRCC office.

Is it feasible for me to come and enter the Canada border with a valid student visa?
And could I enter Canada by air only with a valid student visa? Does the travel restriction exemption is feasible for me?

I'm not in the US now, and I can provide a detailed self-isolation plan when I arrive.
Thanks for your help.

Yes you can come, anyone who was approved for a study permit before March 18th can come by air if they are not sick and have a plan to self isolate for 14 days. At the land border anyone with a study permit is considered essential travel and can come.

I have got my study permit before March 18th for May2020 intake and I was suppose to travel to Canada on April 7th. However due to Covid19 the flights were cancelled and airport was closed. Now I have started the semester online from my home country. Should I still travel to Canada immediately when the flights are available or can I complete this semester from my home country?
Depends on what you want to do, there was some guidance on this from immigration search around you should be able to find it, I think they said you can study up to half of your course at home country with no issues. Also contact your school.

Thanks, Bongoman,

Do you have any clue about when the Canada border restriction can be removed or partly removed?

Since I tried to consult with some travel agencies, they said that many students with valid student VISA(Issued before 18.Mar.) and first time landing in Canada, they were forced to come back to their home country by the same plane... In Vancouver airport (BC) recently...

Thanks a lot

Seriously doubt that has happened if they were before March 18, remember you must have a realistic plan to isolate for 14 days. Absolutely no one knows not even the government I suspect when restrictions will be removed. These restrictions expire June 30 but that doesn't mean they wont be extended.
