No need to break down the wording like it's the law. IRCC is simply instructing visa offices to to consider that most applicants with visas that are expiring in the next few weeks will not be able to travel. When identified (mostly through web forms), those approved PR visas can be extended for an additional 6 months without the need for another medical exam or police certificates.
Breaking it down like the law? No, just trying to understand what they are saying.

You are correct in saying that they are identifying applicants whose medicals are about to expire. However, it says medicals expiring in the coming 4 to 8 weeks. This is the part that is less clear to me.

If you feel like I am being pedantic, then you should look back a couple of weeks. Everyone and myself included were overjoyed by IRCC adding 'or unwilling' in their program delivery. Yes, two words made a world of difference.

Hi. My COPR expired on 1May. We received a generic email from cic and the only change in my account is that it says ' Your counterfoil has expired'. Has anyone received any updates or any information from CIC about the next steps. I haven't sent any webform after the expiry of my COPR. Is it required?
They mentioned sending a webform many times and it was mentioned here as well. Please do that as soon as you can!
gmehta is my daughter. She sent two Web forms before the expiry of COPR and a mail to NDVO. She received generic replies to all. Does she need to send another web form now. Her status says "Your document has expired". IRCC says we should not send multiple web forms. Has anyone else seen this change of status in their accounts?
This is okay. I replied based on "haven't sent any webform after the expiry of my COPR. Is it required? ". She doesn't need to send another webform if she has already done that.

Sorry I should have mentioned that I'd sent a webform informing them of our inability to travel before the expiry of our COPR dute to travel restrictions in my country. I received a generic response also to that. What I wanted to ask was whether I'm required to send a webform again after the expiry of my COPR. Thanks
This should be okay then. Don't overthink it.

Most of the international carriers like Lufthansa, Cathay Pacific etc have announced on their website they are starting services from June after performing maintenance checks this month.

Airline industry is already suffering massive losses, so the respective governments are allowing international travel after setting up strict rules to maintain highest hygenie standards in cabin.

I traveled via Toronto airport this weekend, it was smooth no issues.
They did ask what plans for self-isolation, and made us fill out some forms declaring that we do not have covid19 symptoms etc.
I will travel next week. I rented a room that has a private bathroom .the kitchen will be shared with another guy who is young and doesn't have any illness. I arranged for groceries to be delivered every 2 days and I will mostly order food deliveries. would that satisfy the officers at the point of entry?
I really appreciate your help

Thanks. They haven't yet started responding us.Suppose they do by June, after that only they will ask us to submit passports .Then after submission of passports it might take another one month to get them back provided vfs open with full staff. My calculation says we will get all fresh docs by July end .Though I Hope it all gets sorted earlier. I came to know Canada is slowly opening up Even elementary schools are opening so they might have more staff in ircc gradually.
Opening schools and opening Government offices are TWO entirely different things

Well no. Quarantine means you have NO contact with ANYONE. So that guy is going to stay inside for two weeks as well ? No shopping , no groceries?

I guess, though ideally you shouldn't have any shared spaces if possible. I am not sure how strictly that is enforced though

I don't think this will qualify. You are still going to come in contact with the other guy in the kitchen, unless the other guy will also go under self quarantine for 14 days?

You need to find 1 bedroom or studio flat with kitchen facilities and have the groceries arranged to be delivered every 2 days.
