I am creating this thread for applicants who are applying for Canadian citizenship for the month of May.

We are finalizing my wife's application and will send her application tomorrow, as I have already acquired my citizenship last year.

We just sent the application package thru Canada Post Xpresspost today and the lady said that there are significant delays on deliveries. Expected delivery date would be on Tuesday, May 5th. There is a tracking number given on the receipt.

Hey, same here! Applied 30 min ago through Canada Post Xpresspost, to be delivered on May 5th. No signature upon receipt may be requested due to Covid.

Oh hey! What address did you use, the one for "Regular Mail" or "Courier Address"?

I replied to this in another thread, I'll just repost my reply here as well

I just sent via Xpresspost and the lady told me it's a regular mail address, not a courier. I asked her twice if she was sure and she said yes. She said couriers are UPS, DHL and that stuff, but not Xpresspost. But I guess it doesn't really matter?...

We used the "Courier Address" but I think you're right, it doesn't really matter.
I checked Canada Post's trackweb and it says "Item Processed".

I sent the application on Apr 23rd (express-post) from Mississauga, ON, supposed to be delivered on the 28th, today is May 3rd, still not delivered, used the regular mail address as courier address is for FedEx/UPS etc. Looks like it'll be 2 weeks from the day you sent the application on average for it to be delivered due to the current situation.

I checked Canada Post's online tracker again and this time it says "Item Processed". I hope the delay wouldn't be that long though.

I sent application May 23rd and just 10 minuted back Canada post tracker showing delivered, so it is taking minimum of 12 days for delivery from Windsor, this COVID making delivery also late, then when they will open the application ?? and process and request to take the test .........OMG....... a long way............. guys my friend did FedEx instead Canada post , he did on 27th reached there on 29th, so better use FedEx if you want peace of mind early ...

I sent on April 30, delivered today (1 day earlier than their own prediction). Took only 2 business days to deliver. Xpresspost.
