Spouse work permit

Hi, guys

I am an international student with a valid study permit, and my husband also has the study permit and he is taking a master's degree program now. He will graduate in August 2020 and his study permit will expire in October 2020. He cannot apply PGWP because he had applied before.
My questions are:
1. Can I sponsor him to get a spousal work permit when he is under student status?
2. If yes, I tried to apply online for him to get the spousal work permit. The result is only a visa or PGWP. Should I apply the SOPW by paper application?

You need to apply so he gets the SOWP once he is no longer studying because you can’t study with a OWP. Yes he can apply for an SOWP if you are a full-time student. You should be able to apply online.
