Hi all, i have recently received my NNAS report and then applied to CNO for further registration. Now in my applicatio, i have couple of things outstanding like my nursing education and evidence of practice. But everything is lockdown at this time , so i wonder how am i going to provide these documents to CNO? Anybody in the same situation?
I am in the same situation, I have to do my evidence of practice as I can't move forward due to COVID situation. I emailed them, and waiting for the response!! What they gave u for nursing education??

Customer service rep said its a long wait because they have to assess my application first. Then they will let me know about my outstanding documents.

If nnas gives one a comparable report for LPN and non comparable for RN and I want to apply to cno to start working as LPN first before I work on RN gaps, what’s the process like?

Will I also have to write LPN Canadian exam before I can start working as an LPN?

also what are the documents that cno asks for during registration for either LPN or RN?

Hi Dairmeey,
Whether to apply as either RN or LVN is a matter of qualification as they differ in scope of practice and renumeration. There seems to be some confusion about the RPN role here in the forums, and hopefully I can shed some light. RPN (Registered Psychiatric Nurse) in general is a registered nurse who has specific training in psych. RPN(Registered Practical Nurse) is equivalent to LVN and only used in Ontario. When you say RPN elsewhere in Canada, it is understood to be the Psych nurse. I applied and got licensed by BCCNP, and had IELTS waived as well. CNO also waived my IELTS requirement.

Hi Vancouver0120,
You stated CNO waived your IELTS requirement. In my CNO's RN nursing application status for language, I have "outstanding." I am from the U.S. and had my nursing education completed also in the U.S. I was wondering why my language requirement hasn't or isn't waived yet. I read the ways to meet such requirement on CNOs website, and it looks as though I should be able to waive this requirement.
Please share how you got this requirement waived with CNO.

Thank you!
E.

What's next after nnas report? Nnas will send directly to RB? Thanks
Hi, once report is finalized, NNAS will send you an email to notify you that your report has been finalized.
Next, you go to your online NNAS dashboard of your application and you will click on the small tab "Apply to this RB" that is located next to the nursing RB that you had entered on your application. This is how NNAS sends your report directly to that nursing RB.
After this step, you are able to commence the nursing registration process by applying directly online in nursing board's website.
