Proof of citizenship certificate

Hi,
I have recently applied for a new citizenship certificate as I want to update/change my last name on it.
I know the timeline in CIC says 5 months but I would like to know if someone here has recently applied for and how fast immigration has responded, if this makes sense. Thanks!

Thanks, I sent mine at the beginning of this month to change my legal name as well, I see they take time to respond.

Yes, they sent me an email on Jan 31 but not updates yet after that.

Shannel, I'm assuming there's a fee for this? I used a credit card for my Proof of Canadian Citizenship and when I knew everything was good, was when I saw the charge on my credit card statement.

Yeah, they charge 75 for this process.

Mine still on #2, I guess all application will be delayed a lot due to this situation , even so, the website still show 5 month.
