I got an update!
Eligibility, criminality and security - PASSED
They said they are now just waiting for the final approval by the officer. I would like to think that most applications get approved after they've passed all the stages - yes or is this wishful thinking?

My 6 months timeline ends on June 5th and they said I would hear back about the final decision by then. Hopefully the good news comes in sooner than that so I can rest easy.

Then don't be ignorant to people who are anxiously waiting when their timeline is almost up. Don't you think "maybe you should be more specific in your webform inquiry" would be much more helpful to people like us? Just my 2 cents, hope you are more mindful of other people next time. Good day!

Guys can anyone guide what this means, does this mean that PPR is around the corner?
I raised a web form on 21st April and got this response. I also got gosht update after which the requirement for additional documents changed to Not required.

I just do not understand how customer care can give details for applications in the UK such as yours but other files outside Canada they don't have access to and request the applicant to contact the visa office for update.

They reopen the IRCC call-center services but with reduced working capability. In my honest opinion, I think any applicant with emergency needs (recorrect errors in their application, having trouble with collecting paperwork or extent permits due to the current pandemic outbreak, etc...) would be prioritized to make use of direct calling. Other inquiries should be made via webform then.

Raise your webform in the following manner:

“Respected Sir/Mam
I have applied for online Permanent Residence under Express Entry with profile number_______.
Kindly let me know where my file is being processed ? Has my application been approved ? If not, please let me know the status of my Eligibility , Background verification , Criminality and Security Checks. “


Most probably they will revert back.

This format works well for me:

"Dear sir/madam,

I am XXX and I have submitted my application for Canadian Permanent Residence via Express Entry on DDMMYYYY. I would like to have a few questions about my application status:

-What is the visa office currently processing my application?

-Have I passed the eligibility, background, security checks?

CEC Inland. My Visa office : Edmonton
I got an email like profile updated. When I login into my account, the status says "Profile updated". Once I get into application, the status changed back to submitted and also "Review of additional documents" changed from "Reviewing additional documents" to "Not Applicable".
