What if I get ITA in restoration period or in visitor status?

Hi

I have 453 crs. Do I have any chances to apply for work permit if I get ITA in restoration period or in visitor status?

If you mean applying for Bridiging Open Work Permit, the answer is no. You have to have a valid work visa at the moment of applying.

You can apply for a work visa with LMIA only. Or you can apply for study visa and you can work beside school (20 hours /week) if your program is full-time and grants a degree or graduate certificate.

It's better not getting into the restoration period. It's always an extra risk, you have to provide a good reason for IRCC why they should to restore your status.

I think I don't have another choice my work permit already expired and I have applied for extension without LMIA or PNP . The refusal desicion will be with in a week i guess. I will try to stay as visitor. Don't know i get an ITA after 5years of struggle here in Canada.

you will need LMIA for closed WP unless you have other conditions (PNP nomination, NAFTA, etc)

BOWP is only eligible for Open WP expiring but not yet expired while received AOR/R10 for PR

I struggled for 1 year and 7 months without job, without any certainty about my family's future, applying for extension every 6 months with the fear it might be refused.

Now I'm a permanent resident. So my message for you : Do not lose hope, do not lose faith. Provide an excellent application with all the documents required and in 6 months or before, you might be a PR as well !

Thnx to your earlier advise and after few months waiting I got a valid status with my visitor application approval.... while my PR application is still in process. However current approval is just for one month which is expiring in may so if my PR application is still pending by then how can i get extension on same? Do i have to apply for separate visitor visa before the expiry of my current status or do I have to wait for a reply from IRCC for what to do next in case my PR application remains pending and visitor get expired.

Apply for an extension before your current status expires.
