Sorry for another question I tried calling and they said they're "experiencing high number of calls" and could not put me in a queue. Do you remember what options you pressed to reach an agent? I pressed "2" for sponsorship, then "1" as I'm sponsor, then "0" for talking to an agent.

I waited in the queque for 40 mins. i pressed 0 as well

I have almost the same timeline..waiting for DM.

Similar timeline. I spoke to the CIC call center agent just now, my files still in cpcm, and they are working with limited capacity and he told me that eligibility and security havent started yet ( I know we cant rely on the agents answers but gives me hope)

Hopefully, we will get DM made very soon and PPR to our loved ones. I am guessing once the lockdown is open and Work from home changes, they will work with full capacity.

Why do you say this? We have also not received our medicals, but don't see why this is an issue. I've seen plenty of files that have their medicals requested after it's transfered to the local VO, and many VOs are unfortunately quite slow. If you're going to scare someone like this, at least provide an explanation.

Maybe he/she is an RCIC agent

Your wife/Spouse does not need sponsor approval if you are a sponsor. Before this Virus breakout Mississauga office was quite faster than any other office but things got changed.

Background checks will take time until this all settles down and lockdown removed. So don't think much, everyone is waiting to meet their loved ones.

i heard some of the people are getting DM even now. so hope to get the same

They told me same. i don't know about this step as well. i think security check wont start unless situation gets better as they have very less staff coming to office.

That is correct. we may not get any progress on it until everything starts opening back.
