My prediction is they are waiting to see when India and other key countries open up and then FSW draws will return.
I've been wondering about this... If they will wait until all countries have the situation under some control, or only a few.

For example, here in NZ things are improving greatly and should be under control soon. But in US, UK, India, France, etc it seems like it may be quite some time.

I wonder if they would open up FSW for residents of certain countries or wait until the whole (or majority) of the world has this under control. Doesn't seem like IRCC would restrict to certain countries, but I am fairly sure from experience that the US limits the number of people selected from certain countries in the H1B draws (although they certainly don't publicise this)...

A bit of a brain dump here and thinking out loud.. Probably a load of nonsense but I do like to ponder things like this :D

I hope there is a FSW draw soon. I think it is unfair to FSW folks to be left out like this. Given the staff shortages, even if a FSW gets an invite today, it's not as if the file is going to get processed in 2 months and they will be coming here. It will take time and things will settle down. Also, not all CEC people are inland if the logic is to invite people within Canada. Many CEC folks are outland and many inland CEC candidates have family members who are outland.

Any FSW who may lose out on points because of age would be at a serious disadvantage. Hope the next draw is a FSW draw.

guys in FSW. just understand why CEC applicants are so desperate as without these special draws, it is impossible to get ITA. That explains the score dropping so quickly. I don't see why FSW won't have b2b draw after this mess goes away so just relax, sit back and let CEC people like me have hope for at least this month.

I think it's clear IRCC are looking at the pool's distribution of FSWs, and are biding their time before they include them in another draw. For me India and the US would be the litmus tests because a lot of FSWs qualify from there, and given they are shut down for the moment until early May, it's logical IRCC don't want to provide many people there ITAs when they can't get their paperwork or medical exams done. Even with their submission time extended to 90 days, this time flies by when you have to fill in your extended profile and gather all your documentation.

It's the only reason FSWs are being excluded from the draws. It's not because of any of these ridiculous conspiracy theories being spread in this thread.

I doubt they will do partial FSW draws, it's why they they are continuing to do only CEC and PNP draws, they don't want to break FSW draws by country.

They will compensate FSWs in another way, i think there will be a mammoth B2B FSW draw. It will go some way towards compensating those who are losing points due to age in the group, they will draw deeper into the pool with these rounds of invitations.

This is a unfair statement and selfish to draw conclusion based on outland or inland. In fact any CEC applicant is better of in settling down in comparison to FSW people.

only for some temporary position - delivery, supermarket and health care (But i doubt FSW will qualify health care immediately)

more than 5 million unemployed in Canada and they will desperate to go back to workforce (They may even think about new immigrant who try to steal their job, thats why Trump did that to USA for suspension)

Most of the CEC already worked in Canada or had local experience....so they are the priority..very simple

Canadian employer won't really care your international work experience anyway...Why come here and go unemployed now
Focus on canadian experience is very little and can be easily offset if you are competent enough. I know plenty of people who landed with a job offer, whereas people who had studied in canada are struggling to get a job. Pls dont spread negativity.

I totally agree with your 2 statements. While I am an FSW candidate who is desperately in need of an ITA, I would argue that the recent CEC-exclusive draws were fair. I do hope draws for all categories will resume soon, though.
