Hello everyone.... unfortunately I got laid off from on tuesday due to shortage of work(03/02/20) for three months and on the notice Its written that it’s a temporary lay off for three months .. and I have to join the company starting 06/01/20.(

Time line as follows-

I received the invitation from Ontario pronvincial program to add 600 points on 02/05/20.(I have open work permit)

I received an ita from Cic on 02/19/20.

Currently in process of to answer additional questioner of ee profile.

Major questions.

1) what should be the employment status on the EE profile ? Should it be employed or end date on 03/02/20 ... (I read somewhere that the status is still employed if I’m not terminated)

2) As I’m applying for new jobs. Is there any option to update previous information regarding jobs after submitting my profile.

3)if I receive the EI (employment insurance ), would it anyway affect my immigration process ?

I’ve been overwhelmed by the sudden layoff and submitting my file for the PR application. Admins or experienced forum members your suggestions would be highly valuable.

Thank you in advance.

Hello,
hope you doing well. How things are moving forward with your application.

Actually I am on the same boat. Got temporarily laid off from work starting 13th April 2020 and got my ITA on 16th April 2020.

Applied for EI as well. Did you updated your profile work experience with an END DATE?

I am really confuse about what should be done here.

Any response appreciated

Thank you,

Thank you,
I believe if you have received ITA before your Experience that you claimed points for your work experience of one years. If your claimed points remains same at the time of e-Apr there is no chance for refusal.
To make your chance clear you have 3 days of experience left so in chance of 90 days submission if you are able to complete little bit of experience and then submit your file I don’t believe there is not even 1% chance of rejection unless your 3 days of work experience is not getting completed at the time of your document submission.
That is what immigrant consultant has to say on it and section A11.2
