Hello everyone.

So i'm finalizing my application for startup business visa in Canada. I am a Mexican citizen, therefore I need to get an eTA to travel to Canada. I have applied for an eTA but never used it, it is approved and still available. but in the eTA form, I didnt mentioned that i was refused Australian work visa. Now that in the Schedule A, i have to include that information. However, I dont know if CIC can check the information in my eTA and see that they dont match, will that affect my application?

What should I do now?

Thanks everyone in advance

Yes - IRCC can certainly check the eTA application. It most likely will not impact your start up visa application however you have no choice but to include the Australian refusal. Do not use your eTA to travel to Canada again since it was obtained fraudulently. It was a really bad idea to lie in the eTA application.

Thanks for your answer. Can I ask you one more thing. I used to work in Hong Kong for almost a year but I didn’t stay there for six months in a row. The longest time I stay there was 40 days. Between my time there I went to Vietnam to visit my family there for around 5 to 15 days. According to the document checklist I have to submit a police check for any where I stay in six months in a row so I’m wondering if this is the case where I need to get a Hong Kong police check.

I don't know.
