Thank you @PBB2020 ! I think it depends on the local visa office. My case is the Hong Kong office. Apparently, they are still open or reopened. However, they gave me a pretty wide 90 days window to mail passports compared to the regular 30 days. I believe they will slowly reopen and move things forward. Actually, even I already got PPR, I am not planning to let my parents land right away (no flights either). :)
You will have to wait until August to see if they may qualify for an extension. If they can fly they will be expected to fly.

Are there any Mexicans here?

Our PR applications is being processed in Mexico. It is been a while since we got anything. On ECAS status was changed from Application received to In Process few months ago, parents did biometrics, we sent another form that was needed and just around this covid-19 or maybe before we haven't heard anything and when login on ECAS, it says again Application Recieved.

Does anyone else have same thing happening on ECAS?

Hi - I am wondering if anyone has share before, I am curious how the queuing in the CIC system works

I saw many fellow sponsors' parents have passed medical exams in Jan - Mar, but are still waiting for the PA DM, while some other lucky applicants got their DM in just a few days. How the officers are notified that there are new applicants passed IME and how they come up the queue to get picked.

Does our case always reviewed by one specific officer, e.g., once it is assigned, it never changes? or it may be picked up by the next available officer?

Thank you in advance.
They are going by the application receive date in generally. DM2 was going on for the 3rd week of May before all this Covid issue started. From the tracker, except one person, there have been to DM2 for June yet. The people from the 3rd-4th of May are also waiting.

i wonder why its taking so long. I wish they would just complete the first step and then i dont have any issues to wait for the rest of process.
I am also waiting for just sponsorship approval as my income for 2018 is on the margin line lol. Just $2500 above the required amount. For 2017 & 2016 & 2019 it’s way more than required.

I did all the time as well. starting from my study visa to the Citizenship file, but this has changed my idea not to give single extra penny and wait for them to ask and pay.

Order GCMS notes, there is no fee, if you are requesting your own records (sponsorship file). That may give you an insight into what's going on.
I asked my lawyer what to do. He said you don’t need to do anything. Just wait. He doesn’t even change address for my parents as they went back to india. I hired lawyer & already paid him all. So I think it’s his job to take care of my file. I myself scared of ordering GCMS notes if they removed representative from my file.

You can order GCMS notes and your consultant will not come to know of it. You will need consent form signed by the applicant (s). I did it twice last year when my brother had applied for PR thru a consultant.

When they are processed in Canada, they are generally processed in order of arrival to their office; however, the interesting part starts when they are sent to out of Canada local visa offices, my assumption is that they throw the applications in a room where they gather dust for a few months (sometimes a year) and then a janitor opens accidentally the door and says "hey guys!!! there are some applications here, are you going to process them?".
As I have seen in GCMS notes, each stage has a maximum date to be completed, so if a visa office completes it one week (or even one day) before that date, they hit their monthly key performance indicator (KPI) and their processing is deemed a "success". It's no wonder the GCKey says that your application will move fast when its close to the end of the processing time, they only care about falling within those 20-24 months because then they can publish on their site that they processed 90% of the apps within that time
You are going to see many apps that were completed in 6 months (or even less), but they do these ones to average the system, so if you have 1 application processed in 6 months and another in 18, when you average, you have 12 months, which is considered very very good (compared to the standard time: 20 to 24 months)
I know it sounds crazy, but my application has been in "Application received" since it was sent to Mexico (August 20, 2019), so the theory might have some truth hehe :D

GCMS will just give you insight on the process completed to date. Although it may take 30 days to show up in your email. You are not changing any rep on the file you just asking them to send you the detailed status on your file.

Here is the process to order:
https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/how-to-order-gcms-notes-step-by-step-process.513893/

There will be a few options which you may find different, just go with your best instinct.

Correct. They didn’t find TB in the sample. No need to worry.

The Acid Fast Test is the stain used to look at TB under the microscope and if it’s negative, it means they couldn’t find the bacteria.

MCT not isolated means the Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Complex did not grow in the sample.

Also just for information purposes, even if it did come back positive for TB, it wouldn’t prevent your parents from immigrating here. Canada provides free medication and hospitalization if needed for people who are here on a visitor’s visa if they have active TB.
Thank you kindly for the detailed explanation. I am now waiting on next steps. India is still in a lockdown until May first week. Hopefully the panel physician will contact my mom again when they open to complete any additional steps. I understand the next step is to do another X-ray. Hopefully this will be the last step for the medical stage of the process.
