Update mail address after AOR?

Hi All,

I am currently live in BC and working here. Due to the coronavirus I am getting laid off which has no influence on my score since I did not use it as a valid job offer, thus I believe I do not need to update my employment to CIC.

I am planing to back to my home country and waiting for PR but I am worry about CIC will question me since I have QC living history.

Do you guys think it will be unsafe if I leave BC? or if that is really necessary to update the mailing address?

Normally, if you applied in Canada, it's processed in Canada, and at some point they'll ask you to send your passport (or a copy if you're from a visa exempt country), which they'll send back to you with the CoPR to your address in Canada.

So if you move and don't update your address, it'll cause problems at some point, unless perhaps you plan to go back to the same address in Canada once you get approved?

Thank you for your reply, do you think it is ok to update the mail address to my friend apartment? if that address is only use for mailing .
