I recently got granted permanent residence and had the following concerns, but we before I get to them I better give some detail.
I'm 33 y.o. with almost 6 years working in UK as a mechanical development/project engineer in manufacturing industry. I'm aware that I will need PEng status so I'm starting the process prior to my arrival. As the PEng requires, I will need to spend one year working in Canada (mandatory requirement in my case).
1. Realistically, what type of salary would I expect to make working as an Engineer in Training?
2. How easy is it to find a job with my level of experience in the greater Vancouver area?
3. Has anyone moved to Canada from abroad at my age or similar, if so, what was your experience there?

Thanks for reading and hope to read your replies soon.

While I cannot speak for your role specifically nor am I an engineer, the general trend is that foreign degree holders and people with foreign experience have to start at the bottom (Entry level). They will be passed over in favor of local candidates. From what I have seen, the more experience you have the harder it will be for you to find a job (at the level you desire). Toronto and Vancouver are crowded with talent, smaller cities will have better opportunities.

Best of luck.

Assume you googled 'canada mechanical engineer salary' to get a rough idea of salary. Obviously with COVID the unemployment rate is likely to increase significantly so impossible for anyone to even guess on job opportunies but guess for now you can look at the various job sites for anything that has not been dropped yet to get an idea

Thanks for your input. I'm aware of the current global situation and yes, I have searched online for job postings. More importantly, the reason for posting here was to get responses from emmigrants/immigrants who are employed as engineers who can share some of their experiences.
