Hi,

If someone (from brazil) has an ETA ( it is a ten year ETA ) which is expiring in May 2020, but they have gotten married (paper into immigration and acknowledgement received from immigration).....do they have to apply for another eta or do they have implied status.

Your question doesn't really make sense. Is this person in Canada right now? If so, when did they arrive in Canada?

Sorry was not clear. He is in canada and married to an citizen right now. They got married in Canada. He has been here six months and questioning if have to renew his ETA if his papers are already in for sponsorship. He has implied status i presume but still unclear if has to renew eta
