Please clarify this, "Travellers who do not have an appropriate place in which to isolate or quarantine themselves must go to a place designated by the Chief Public Health Officer of Canada".
do they provide any hotel?
and how about the hotel charges?

They will put you. You will likely have to pay. Would imagine it is variable based on city and availability. Would encourage you to make your own arrangements for quarantine housing

Or only travel to Canada at the moment if absolutely necessary essential travel, stay home until the situation improves. If you are placed in a hotel room you still have to get food and anything delivered to your room, you cannot leave the room and as above nothing comes for free.
